Bryan has been telling me to CTR lately. He thinks it is SO funny and this is what he means:
C- Clean it!
T- Toss it!
or
R- Return it!
He says I have too much stuff everywhere and wants me to do some spring cleaning! So, a few nights ago I cleaned out what I call my "Junk Drawer" which is really a big Nordstrom bag that I stash things in. This is usually because it does not have a home OR I am doing a quick clean up job. I must say that I found some gems in sorting through it. Just look:

Does anyone else have a junk drawer? A little spring clean may find you some lost treasures!

Love it... I have a few junk drawers that need cleaning but I don't think I'll find anything that good. And how fun having ducks come visit your yard. My kids would be in heaven!
Summer I think we could rename your junk drawer to a treasure drawer. Oh and by the way you can tell Bryan the true meaning of CTR is Calkins Truly Rule!!
summer, you crack me up! i LOVE that your "junk drawer" is a Nordy's bag.. that is SO you. Sadly, I have a husband who is notorious for throwing anything and everything that looks like junk mail or unusuable away in the garbage... last year around my birthday i went looking for my pedicure g.c. from my friend to use and lo and behold - mark had thrown it away!!! i even went through the garbage in search of it but it was too disgusting... so he had to go to the nail place and get me a new one!! ;) it was so fun seeing you at my shower! thanks for coming, i'm obsessed with Sarah's new clothes and so excited to dress her up in all that pink!!! xoxox.

Ok you are hilarious! All that in one bag? I love finding things that have been M.I.A for awhile. There's not a better feeling! :-)
Brooke- oh don't think I have not contemplated framing that pic. I don't think Bryan would be too happy though. :)
Wens- You probably do remember b/c it was when I was at Hurley and went with Dean and the sales girls. Oh good old Dean! And that hair was from Haven's first cut just 5 months ago! My Girl's hair is scarce.
I admit, although I may qualify for a diagnosis of OCD, I am quite the "stacker." I have a hard time getting rid of things-which is going to bite me in the butt one of these days. If I could be home for a MIN. I could do some major damage. Maybe I'll find that missing million I've been looking for-lol.

I always promised myself I wouldn't have one growing up because I couldn't stand the many junk drawers my parents had. Sadly, I do have one, but it is small and is mostly just instructions to our appliances, ward list, pens, tape, etc. No treasures for us!
Unfortunately I have more than one "Junk drawers or stash piles...returns...ect. ". I am in need of major spring cleaning and throw outs.

What a treasure box your nordstrom bag is!! Did you go to Sees today??? I am the same with junk drawers. When I do a "quick clean" it means I stuff everything I see in a drawer where it doesn't belong. Will Bryan help you CTR? It does feel good to get it done but it is hard work! Good luck Summer!
Your blog prompted me to look in my junk drawer- woohoo I found a bunch of gift certs (In & Out Burger, Baja Fresh, Chili's and Buca de Beppo) How fun! Ewh I found some old Christmas & Valentines candy (from last year) GROSS! Found an old Easter card, coupons (that we never use) and tons of receipts. BOOORRING.
No junk drawer here...I acumulate little piles at the top and bottom of my stairs depending on where they are suposed to end up...and even that kills Jeremy! Did you know he is a little bit of crazy clean...neat freako, I know who would have thought!
By the way after seeing what you found in your junk bag... I am thinking I have to start one!!!
