When kids dress themselves take 3!
I thought I had another year or so until Berkley had an opinion about her wardrobe.  I was WRONG!  This little girl is crazy about putting on gaggy outfits with shoes (or slippers) and running down the street.  She is a crack up!  I took her for her 2 year check up the other day and I was so excited when she finally made it on the chart.  She is so small that she was never on it.  Now she is in the 5th percentile weighing in at a whopping 21 pounds!!!  AND... she has finally outgrown her 6-12 month clothes and is into 12-18 months!  Our pediatrician estimated her to be my exact height of 5'1".  They estimate Haven to be around 5'5".  I am excited she will have some more height.
This is more for my records so sorry for the bore but I wanted to write down a few of her favorite things to say:
"Please Mommy"
"Where's Sissy?" "Where's Dito?" "Where's Daddy?"
"Yeah-I do!"
"Poo Poo and Pee Pee!"
"Hi Puppy"

She is so funny and I can't believe it but I think I will start potty training her next week!  She already takes off her diaper 5 times a day and goes to sit on the toilet.  She hates to have a wet or dirty diaper so I guess we will give it a shot.  It sounds like she is trying to tell me something.  And as much as I realize that it will save me in diapers... a part of me is lazy and doesn't feel like doing it yet.  Or maybe it just makes me sad to think she is getting bigger and will not be a baby anymore....
When did my little brother get so BIG?

Lauren Conrad's Fashion Show!
Tonight we drove just 10 minutes to the Irvine Spectrum to see the Lauren Conrad fashion show.  The seats were only for media, press and friends of LC.  However, we were able to talk someone working there into letting us be seat fillers and we got the see the show 2nd row.  Her collection was pretty cute and will be sold at Nordstrom.  Lots of dresses.  And Lauren looked gorgeous of course!  Thanks Patience for finding out about this.

PALM SPRINGS!
With out any Palm Springs trips this summer due to the 118 degree weather they have... we figured it was September and time to go out again.  We enjoyed a fun weekend with the Hess Fam starting with a visit to the outlets.

We lounged in the pool with popsicles almost the whole time because it was still HOT!  The temperature settled at over 100!

We went to dinner at a yummy BBQ place called "Babes"!

Then came home and put the kids to bed and let the FUN begin!  We ate Ice Cream and played games until the late night!

Then the next morning... poor Megan broke her toe!  It didn't look very bad at first and then got HUGE and PURPLE!  She was in pain.
We managed to get ourselves out for breakfast even though Megan was in pain and I was tired from only 3 hours of sleep (I can thank Berkley for that one)!
We drove to breakfast and to get Megan some Ace Bandages in the Electric car.  Collin loved it and screamed "Weee!"  the whole time!
We did a quick tour of my favorite hotel "The Parker"
And then came home and floated some more!
We ended the trip with one last stop at The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner!  I LOVE that place and in particular their pesto salad dressing.  I bought a pint of it for $4 and can't wait to have it on some salads this week!!!
We brought Gordon and he was PERFECT!  What a good dog!  And a wonderful trip...

FIRST DAY BACK TO PRESCHOOL!

With Haven's birthday in January... she is going on round 3 of Mrs. Shirley's preschool.  Haven doesn't mind.  She loves going to see her nice teacher three days a week.  I know Haven will be ready for kindergarden next year.  She already wishes she could go to school everyday!!!

A group of us moms went out to breakfast at the Original House of Pancakes to kick off the Fall 08 school year.  It was very delicious... I LOVE their food!
Haven is so excited to be in the same class with her pal and neighbor Kaili.  And I think Tarah and I are even more excited for the carpooling!
After school I took the girls to TCBY for a frozen yogurt.
Little did I know that they have 99 cent waffle cones EVERY wednesday!!!  You will know where to find me wednesday afternoons now!

RUDE LADIES TAKE THREE...
So Bryan went surfing after work tonight.  The girls were worn out but after dinner, I stuck them in the car to get a few groceries.  Haven usually walks next to me and helps me put my food items in the cart. While I was feeling for ripe peaches... Haven bent down and kissed one.  Come on... she is 4!  Just then a lady walks by and says, "OH MY!  And I am supposed to buy and eat one of those now?" Do I have a sign on my back that reads "All older ladies... say something to ruin my day?"  Luckily, I try not to let it get to me and I'm to the point that I can laugh about it.  I wonder how many more ladies will throw tude at me this year???  It's just a game to me now.

LET THE DIARRHEA BEGIN.....

I can't believe that September is here!!! From now until December is my favorite time of year!  I can't wait for some cool weather and more importantly to celebrate the holidays!  It's no secret that my excitement every year usually leads to more bathroom trips.  Here are some really great things I am looking forward to this fall:

I picked these up at Target the other day and LOVE them!  It is like eating pumpkin pie.
I also bought this for the kids!  It is to use with a real pumpkin however, most of the parts fit in a normal Mr. potato head.  The girls will enjoy this for the next several weeks!
This only comes out for the seasonal time each year... my Ice Cream fix at night can be cured with a bowl of this!
I HATE lighting candles in the summer b/c really, it just makes me too hot to look at them!  Now is when I can start firing up my favorite Orange Vanilla Trapp Candle!
USC Football!!!  Nothing is better and we are looking forward to many games this year with Bryan's season tickets.  This school just oozes with tradition... I LOVE it!
I will be breaking out our sweaters soon!  I appreciate them b/c they allow me to hide my winter coat (bulgy stomach) quite nicely!
And of course... I find my flip flops very comfortable but boots are just more stylish and fun!  Can't wait to break these out!
Do you know what else this means?  That Christmas will be here before we know it!  I am already listening to Holiday music.  I even thought about putting it on my blog but realize that may be a little too much!  What are you excited about for this fall?

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE FELT LIKE LATELY...

The past week and a half I have been in and out of the Dentist office.  My teeth started to hurt and when I went in to see why... I found out that I needed THREE crowns and TWO fillings! Basically, my back molars all had so many silver fillings in them that they caused my teeth to crack! So I now have 3 temporary crowns on.  The other day, I started getting the worst toothache.  I went in AGAIN and one of them had a hole in it.  I am now on a steroid drug to prevent a possible ROOT CANAL!!!  I am sooo scared!  I have realized that I would rather be in labor than get dental work done!  At least something good comes out of labor in the end!!!  Here is why I REALLY hate the dentist:
1. Sometimes I don't get enough novacaine and can feel things.  Then I have to get another shot!
2. The sound of the drilling on my tooth makes me cringe... I have been bringing music to listen to but this does NOT take away from the next problem.
3. The smell of teeth being drilled to nubs... I HATE that smell!
4. When you rinse and spit and see TONS of blood.
I really hope that my kids get Bryan's teeth.  The guy does not take near the care of his teeth as I do and has NO cavities! I am pretty confident that I will have dentures by the time I am 40!

OH and did I mention that we don't have dental insurance? Bryan told me that this is my Christmas and Birthday for the next couple years!

CELEBRATIONS!
We had some fun celebrating Berkley's Birthday.  On her birthday's eve we had a swim and dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Thacker's house!

On her birthday morning, Grace and Faith came over to bring fun surprises that they had each picked out!

Haven went to her pre-school teacher's house for a little play date and they made Berkley a mini cake!
After naps... we put on her party clothes and headed out to Knott's Berry Farm with Nonny and Poppy.

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to..."
The kids LOVED all the little rides that are in Camp Snoopy!

After Knotts we went to eat and opened some presents.

And I forgot a candle to go in her Sprinkles cupcake!  We made do with a match???
Today we had one last hoorah as my mom treated us to pedicures!

Berkley is trying to show us her first pedi!
She picked her own color: "PURPLE"!
