A and B's joint Birthday Party

Dear August,

This was the actual day of your first birthday. We took you to dinner at Ruby's to celebrate. You loved when they sang to you and thoroughly enjoyed playing with the ice cream sunday they brought out. Yesterday when I took you in for your 1 year stats this is what you were:

weight= 10th percentile

height= 75th percentile

head= 50th percentile

Dr. Carruth is very happy with your growth and milestones. I am very proud of you for being such a sweet and easy baby. You add so much to each day. I can't picture you not in our lives. I adore you. You will always be my baby.

Tour de food

Saturday night we went to LA with Linds and Micah. We stopped and ate at four places and stuffed our faces and laughed. Sometimes that is what life is all about. Thanks for the great memory Denisons!

D's new album cover has just been revealed and he is looking pretty grown up and happy. It was exactly the type of picture we were trying to get. He also beat out Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry tonight at the Teen Choice Awards for "Favorite American Idol Alum". I was supposed to go. It would have been neat to be there but I am just so proud of him anyway. Very deserving person. Keep it up David! And tune in tomorrow night on fox to watch the show. He presents the award for "Teen Hottie"! Ha!

We have gone to the OC fair four summers in a row now. I think it is becoming a tradition and one that I am very happy about. Yes it is crowded with creepy people everywhere but that is part of the fun! I love seeing the excitement in my kid's eyes! I love checking out all the amusing fair food! I love the free pig races. This year I was SOOO proud of our family. We did the fair on a total budget... $18 including parking! We were there for a whopping 2 1/2 hours and it was perfect. The weather wasn't too hot at all. Very nice breeze. I love fun days with my family.

Silly Lovey

I can't begin to describe my love for this silly little girl. From her military style hair cut to her new snaggle teeth... I could eat her up! I can never kiss her face too much. Or tickle her belly until she laughs so hard she can't catch her breath! She is such a special part of our family. She has truly completed us. Late last night I got her out of her crib and just cuddled with her for awhile. Her body length was half of mine now and it made me sad to think that just 12 short months ago... she was so small and fragile. A mere 6 pounds 4 ounces. I will cherish every moment of her toddler life. I will miss the sweet moments of her infant life. I think this girl is amazing! She is going to be pure joy to watch grow!
