Pageant of the Masters

I LOVE seeing the Pageant of the Masters! It is one of my favorite things to do in the summer! On wednesday night we ate yummy Thai food in Laguna and then headed via Trolley to downtown for the show! Super fun night!

"Something 'bout love" video shoot

Man I am GLAD this is over! It was the longest 17 hours ever. HOT day in L.A. with 26 extras in video needing to be styled. Plus... the girls showing up with short dresses, skirts and shorts as well as low cut shirts. Recipe for disaster. Somehow Shea McGee (of old soul new heart) and I pulled it together. By nights end we were both cardigan less lending girls to make D's video more wholesome. I love that this is important to him. I love that he is different than everyone else in Hollywood. He is amazing. I'll never forget the one eyed cat, homemade popsicles and bonding that took place. Stressful but good times!

Birthday memories

I had such a great birthday! I enjoyed:

Dinner at Nick's with Elyse and Drew for El and I's b-day, Lunch at Neimans and Sprinkles cupcakes with my mom and sister, spa night for Amy and I's birthday (worked out perfect we all had gift cards), Ramos House brunch with Aleisha, Lumberyard dinner in Laguna with Bryan, run in with Shalyse walking around Laguna, Dessert at Scott's with Boschettis, delicious chinese chicken salad and homemade coffee cake at Bryan's parents and lunch at Goko with Jules, Tarah, JT and Jen!

TRENDY NOT SPENDY

It's getting closer...

... the dreaded 1 year old B-day which means that her first year of life is in the past. This little sweetie is 11 months today already. How do I feel about this? Part of me is really excited. But the other part is sad. She is the only one of my kids that I have wanted to literally freeze time with at every month. I miss the squishy little newborn that smelled SOOOO good. Here is to walking, talking and maybe finally getting a few teeth. Your future is bright! I love you Elle Belle!

Dear Gordon,

We have been together for 2 years now. I do love you and think you are amazingly adorable! However- you irritate me lately. I am over sharing a bed with you. I am sick of the constant barking when the door gets a knock or bell gets a ring. Or when someone comes in the house. I understand when you act like you are going to nip at Berkley. She deserves it! But poor little August doesn't do anything and sometimes you do it to her as well. In recent times... I find you super annoying when you throw up and pee on my carpet. It's just wrong and I have no tolerance for it anymore. You are a poodle. Your breed is supposed to be one of the smartest. Please start to show it soon. I don't want to part with you. I secretly love that you follow me around all day and night. I love that you keep me warm on a cold winter's night. And I love to look at your cute face when I'm down. It makes me smile. Oh gordy... shape up. I don't want to call you a naughty dog anymore.

Let the Summertime begin...

Laguna Trolley

Although Summers in Laguna are crowded and touristy... there are MANY fun things going on. We always love going to see Pageant of the Masters. The Sawdust Festival is great! And the free Trolley rides through town are a must! The last Trolley stop is right in front of my parent's neighborhood. My mom had the brilliant idea to take the kids for a ride and end up in downtown to see Toy Story 3! It was very fun and the kids had a blast. I would be lying to say if I didn't too. The movie was darling and so touching. I shed a few tears. If you haven't seen it... you really should. Sweet story message!
