Palm Springs

We had a great time in Palm Springs over the weekend. The weather was perfect! Warm with crisp blue skies! Bryan did a 55 mile bike race with Nate and Micah. I am so proud of him. We had fun relaxing by the pool, eating delicious meals, watching the Olympics, shopping and seeing the flamingos and birds at the Marriott. We were also able to spend Valentines Day there where Lindsey had fun gifts for everyone to open in the morning. Bryan and Micah especially loved their sashes!

Opah!

What a fun night we had at Opah where we dined on delicious food and exchanged some of our favorite things. We even had intentions of a possible movie after but shut the place down talking and giggling for hours. It was so nice to have a girl's night. I have not had one in awhile. I love having these girlies in my ward!

6 months today!

How can I already be 6 months old? My mom feels like it went by so quick! I have been a good baby for her. I sleep pretty well and eat excellent. I am very long and slender. I'm in the 25th percentile for my weight and 75th for my height! I LOVE to watch my sisters play. I love taking baths. I love touching Gordon's soft fur. I am sprouting some soft hair. I have my dad and Haven's mouth. I have my mom's nose and eyes. I could watch Baby Einstein DVD's all day and laugh at the funny parts. I enjoy playing with my feet. I can't sleep well with out being swaddled still. My head is pretty flat in the back like my sister Haven's and of course my mom worries about it. She gives me lots of tummy time but it doesn't seem to be working. My mom always tells me she loves the way I smell... even when I have dirty diapers or spit up. I know! She is weird huh? I've discovered my voice and like to make high pitched bird noises. They are very loud! And the biggest news ever is that TODAY on my 1/2 birthday... I started to sit up on my own! Next I'll be crawling and the world will be mine!

Playing dress up

I've realized why my house gets so messy. These two girls are constantly changing their wardrobe and dressing up. Although it drives me crazy because they are always into everything... I am learning to let it go. They are just being little girls and having fun with their imagination. And I have to especially laugh when they change their bows to match what they are wearing. Even if it is just pajamas or a bathing suit. I guess I have been training them well! XOXO Haven and Bumble B!

Unplanned Theme Date

As Bryan and I were driving home from our date last night, I had to point out how ironic it was that we ate at "BONE"heads...

and then went and saw "The Lovely BONES"!

We were headed to eat at Pei Wei (one of our faves). He wanted to walk past Boneheads and check out their menu. I of course rolled my eyes because the name of that place does not sound appealing. Well- it was AMAZING! We will be frequenting that place from now on! Both Bryan and I loved it! Fresh and healthy food for a very reasonable price.

Then it was onto The Lovely Bones. The name is so silly really. Bryan and I actually call it "The Silly Bones" just because. This movie was NOT for me. It was really well done but I can't see scary suspense movies. I think I had to walk out 3 different times and Bryan had to text me when the parts were over. I am not good with these types of things and now find myself looking at my neighbors different.

It was SO fun to get out just Bryan and I! We have not been doing it enough lately.

BBB means...

Birthday Beach Bonfire! That is what Reese wanted to do on her birthday. It was cold and dark but the kids had fun getting dirty while eating pizza and roasting S'mores! I can't believe Reese is 4!

It had been too long

We hadn't been to D-land in a long time. Last week we met up with Reesey to help celebrate her birthday. Nicole Boschetti joined along for the fun too. The weather was perfect, the rides un-crowded and the girls on cloud nine since I let them wear dress ups. It really is one of the happiest places on earth. It is so wonderful seeing Disneyland through my kids eyes. I know very soon that the princess stage is going to be over for Haven so I am trying to let her enjoy it now. Why do kids have to grow so fast?
