FAIR ENOUGH!!!

What do you do at the Fair besides?:
- worry your kids will be abducted
- Stand it long lines in the summer heat with sweat dripping down your face
- Become filthy & dirty by the end
- Walk in and out of thousands of people with a stroller and baby who doesn't want to be in the stroller

Well of course you:

Show your kids all of the cute animals!

SO glad that I only have TWO of these(see pic below)!!!

Then of course you watch the fun pig races!

That always needs to be followed up with some rides and playing

And also eat some greasy, nasty and unhealthy JUNK!  I couldn't decide which deep fried food to order out of these:
After almost getting the deep fried SPAM (kidding) we went for the deep fried Avocados with Pesto Sauce.  Pretty good!
This photo is for you Mo my cupcake Queen!
This little cut out made Haven craven some ice cream

Berkley tried Cotton Candy for the 1st time!

Make your last stop the pumpkins to get excited for the fall
And end with a fun meet and greet with a good friend!
Until next year.....

I can't believe you went by yourself! Next time bring Bryan, you will probably not worry as much. We went at night last year and it was so fun, but we still haven't made it there this year!

I have a love/hate relationship with the fair. It brings out the scariest people I never seem to see at Wal-mart on any other given day. So I totally hear ya on worrying about your kids being abducted! But the kids love it, so you have to do it.
So is there any way to get into your blog besides signing out from my user and signing in as your usdaily user? Do I need an invite? Plus you never emailed me back about ellen tickets. Will you email me about both? Thanks! Love your blog!

I hear you with all your comments in the beginning. I decided not to go this year becuase last year we spent so much money on getting in, ride tickets and the food. The food was wonderfully fattening and good, I shouldn't complain. Glad you have fun. Let's get together next week.

Well hello there Carnie..
I was wondering if you saw MEgan there.
Ahh.. the fair. Why does somewhere so fun with good food have to be so gross.
Does Berkley have changeable covers for her cast?

i've always wanted to go to the fair! It looks like so much fun, i think I need to wait a year maybe when my kids can appreciate me sweating all day for them!

Oh, the fair... so fun and so scary and dirty all at the same time. Just enjoy yourself while you're there and immediately shower after entering the house!

Lisa- Berkley's green thing is just a sock I put over to keep all the Fair dirt off her cast. She is supposed to have one of those shoes that look like Birkenstocks to go under her foot and they didn't have her size. She is walking on it and it is getting so gross. Luckily she only has a little over a week until she gets it off! I can't wait...

What an outing. Your girls looked like they had a lot of fun. Impressive that you did it by yourself.

You weren't completely by yourself. Strength in numbers!
I'm bummed that we didn't get a picture of the carnie's ummm, "teeth." I actually feel so sorry for all the workers that just travel around with the fair.
I smelled like a campfire last night. It was sick!

i can't handle the fair, one time in blackfoot, my grandma (dad's mom) took us to the fair & hillary and i went to get on the moving ferris wheel, and the person got off in front of us covered in barf...that was pretty much the end of any fascination i have with fairs, but, i still do enjoy carnival-people.....especially at night!!!!!!! xo mo

Fun time at the fair! I secretly have wanted to try the fried twinkies but our fair doesn't have them. I have mixed feelings about the fair-they are kind of gross and dirty with a bunch of people walking around with wet-pits, but I will probably take Haley to see all of the animals when ours comes in September-she is very into animals right now. Berkley looks so cute with her little cast!

Oh so cute. You are always up to something fun! I agree the fair is a love/hate relationship. I just always wonder how the majority of the faithful carnies can afford it?? Your post like 5 posts ago about the dog in the car cracked me up.

We went to the fair a couple years ago and vowed to never go back. Maybe Kalli was just too young or we had great expectations, but it looks like you had fun. Maybe we will have to give it another shot next year.
