Unplanned Theme Date

As Bryan and I were driving home from our date last night, I had to point out how ironic it was that we ate at "BONE"heads...
and then went and saw "The Lovely BONES"!
We were headed to eat at Pei Wei (one of our faves). He wanted to walk past Boneheads and check out their menu. I of course rolled my eyes because the name of that place does not sound appealing. Well- it was AMAZING! We will be frequenting that place from now on! Both Bryan and I loved it! Fresh and healthy food for a very reasonable price.
Then it was onto The Lovely Bones. The name is so silly really. Bryan and I actually call it "The Silly Bones" just because. This movie was NOT for me. It was really well done but I can't see scary suspense movies. I think I had to walk out 3 different times and Bryan had to text me when the parts were over. I am not good with these types of things and now find myself looking at my neighbors different.
It was SO fun to get out just Bryan and I! We have not been doing it enough lately.

BBB means...

Birthday Beach Bonfire! That is what Reese wanted to do on her birthday. It was cold and dark but the kids had fun getting dirty while eating pizza and roasting S'mores! I can't believe Reese is 4!

It had been too long

We hadn't been to D-land in a long time. Last week we met up with Reesey to help celebrate her birthday. Nicole Boschetti joined along for the fun too. The weather was perfect, the rides un-crowded and the girls on cloud nine since I let them wear dress ups. It really is one of the happiest places on earth. It is so wonderful seeing Disneyland through my kids eyes. I know very soon that the princess stage is going to be over for Haven so I am trying to let her enjoy it now. Why do kids have to grow so fast?

Who am I?

My sister called me the other day to see if I wanted to have a girl's night and make a wreath. I reminded her that I am NOT crafty and am NO good with things of this nature. I told her Yes though because sister bonding is always good.
Later that day Kiks and I were chatting on the phone. I had her go to the site where the wreath was to show her my future attempt and laugh about it. She wanted in too and as she browsed the website found this easy and fun activity to do with the kids. Taking old broken crayons and melting them into molds for a giant one! This is how Haven and Berkley's turned out.
I surprised myself and although it was time consuming and I was the slowest one... I finished this darling wreath and gained a tad of creativity confidence while doing it.

So tonight when Bryan went to bed at 9:00 (such a bore), I decided to blare Pandora radio and make a few headbands with some pieces of whatever was laying around the house.

I think they turned out cute. I'm not saying that they aren't going to fall apart the first time August wears them. But hey- At least I made the attempt at doing something a little crafty! That's so not me. Or is it now?

Lollipops and Sweet Potatoes

Mrs. Shirley took Haven to get treats for her birthday and Cate to celebrate the arrival of her baby brother. Berkley was LUCKY and just got to tag along!
Can't tell yet if Miss August likes real food or not. If she's my daughter... it's a no brainer!

Baby Cash

Baby Cash Tucker made his debut into the world on January 22, 2010. Congrats to Jenny and the Tucker family. He's adorable and so tiny. It makes me sad that my baby is so big now.

My little B

Yes- you drive me crazy but you also make me laugh. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. Please stop being so sneaky though. And STOP feeding Gordon chocolate chips!

Birthday Fun

Haven wanted balloons when she woke up. I thought that was a simply enough request.
The traditional birthday "hot & cold" hunt led to these gifts
Off to school in the birthday rain
After school Nonny took us all to get pedicures for Haven and Reese's birthday. Reese turns 4 next week!
All of us were in need of one... especially me!
I told Haven she was not having a birthday party this year. However, she did talk me into having her besties (we missed you Cate Tucker) over for "pink" Hot Chocolate and cookies after dinner.
She and Lily both had on their matching "Hot Cocoa" pajama pants.
They lounged by the fire and did silly girl things. It was perfect for a rainy, cold night.
And a girl's night would not be complete with out painting nails!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAVEN! Hope your day was SUPER FUN!

The Three Amigos

Jeff was home from MBA school for a month over holiday break. He came over to play Settlers with Bryan and I many nights. He and Bryan saw many late night movies and he even ran some errands for me during the day. He will be missed the next 4 months.

It all started with a simple family dinner....
Then these two got a little flirty
and ended up doing this!
The future mother in laws!
TULIP FEST 2010!
Our annual tulip planting with the neighbors was great this year! We purchased them from a good tulip farm, kept them in the fridge and planted them in places where they should thrive. After the planting we had our traditional ladies brunch. It was fantastic! I really love this tradition!
