THANK GOODNESS FOR THOROUGH DOCTORS
My OB called with some blood work results that said I have:
*Low Potassium
*Low Iron
*Low Blood Pressure
*A Hypoactive Thyroid!  Has anyone had this during pregnancy?  I have to take medicine daily.  My doctor said that my body is working almost double what most normal pregnant people's work to keep the baby thriving.  This explains SO much of why I have been feeling so crummy.  I have had ZERO energy and all I want to do is sleep.  If you have any knowledge or experience with a thyroid during pregnancy... I would love to hear.  Thanks!

My sister had Hypoactive Thyroid with her 1st baby...and the bad news is she gained over 85 pds with the pregnancy because of it. The good news is....after the baby, it went to hyperactive and she lost tons of weight. good luck summer!! You'll be fine.

ok so i talked to my sis. she said her pregnancy hormones triggered the throid problem so it could go away after the pregnancy and your hormones are normal again....could take up to a year. she said to stay off your feet as much as possible but to stay active and take 15 min walks to help with swelling. stay away from watermelon and keep getting your thyroid labs done every 6 weeks. hope this helps although i'm sure your dr knows all this! call me if you need to.

Interesting... I have always had the same problems and just found out, but have it semi-under control now, at least the Hypo activethyroid part. I feel your pain, terribly sorry. Oh these hard times shall pass, hang in there...

my sister-in-law, Ashley, you know Amy's sister has had thyroid issued most of her life... her baby boy came out healthy and strong.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and that little one within your belly!:)

Summer, I was dx with hypothyroid when I was 16, so I've been dealing with this for 15 years and through 3 pregnancies. I too one medication for thyroid and one for low iron. We'll have to talk on the phone...way too too much to say online.

But you'll be fine. People who have thyroid issues have healthy babies every day. I too was told the "your body is working double" thing too...and be warned that fatigue will kick your butt the entire pregnancy. But you can do it. It'll be fine!

When they tested me they found I have low iron. So I'm taking medicine for that. Sorry I can't help you with the other problem. I have been so tired lately too. MAybe we can take naps on the couch together while the little ones get into trouble. I hope you start to feel better soon.

I have the thyroid issue with this pregnancy too. How funny it happened on my third too. Our bodies can be so weird at times. But so far so good. The medicine will make you feel a ton better. I too have to say good job on handing out the golden tickets last night on idol. My favorite part was when you had to hold the guitar for that one guy. I wish I could have seen your face. Did you bust up laughing the entire time or do they make you put on a good poker face. Please keep trying to get tons of camera time, I think it is so cool.

I have low of those 3 things too, but I don't know anything about the thyroid. All I know is that I am exhausted as well and I'll be happy if I live through this pregnancy. Hang in there.

That's no fun, but hopefully it is just a pregnancy thing and it goes away after the baby is born. If you are feeling really tired, I am happy to drop by and play with the kids while you kick back for a couple hours!
